Kala Kalua sits on the sand at Cortijo Blanco, the San Pedro end of the Marbella coast, and is the size of a proper beach restaurant rather than a shack. The carta is divided the old way: entrantes, ensaladas, arroces, pescados, mariscos, carnes. Rice is what fills the tables, from paella mixta to arroz caldoso with lobster. One thing to know before driving over: their own site says they do not reserve tables.

How much does Kala Kalua cost?
Kala Kalua publishes its carta online but not its prices: the menu lists dishes by section with no figure against them. Google puts it in the €€ bracket. We do not print a price we have not read off a venue’s own menu, so this page carries one the day they publish one.
Does Kala Kalua take reservations?
No. Their own site states plainly that they do not reserve tables, so it is turn up and wait for one.
